If you have an adventurous soul or simply just find yourself bored this summer, read ahead and mark your calendar to discover some of the many fun activities that the mainline has to offer. Get involved with the rest of the community to enjoy live music, local artists, seasonal food specialties & mouth-watering drinks.

Second Saturdays | April 9th – October 8th

This summer in Chestnut Hill, there will be days of art, music, and creative inspiration that will take place in the historic and walkable village in Philadelphia. Every second Saturday of the month, this celebration of the arts will transpire. Live music, art, and restaurant & shop specials will all combine to provide attendees with a delightful evening to remember for both kids and adults alike.

Wayne Music Festival | June 11th

Artists from a wide range of genres and areas are venturing to Wayne to perform in early summer. To check out the lineup: click here. Many local restaurants and vendors will be in attendance, along with a highlight of local and regional acts. The festival is free admission, and any age is accepted.

The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show | June 11th – June 19th

Come to enjoy acres of beautiful floral views, spectacular landscapes, and unique concessions at the FDR park this June. There will be a plethora of exhibits, shopping, dining, and plenty of areas to explore to quench any adventurous desires!

Kennet Summerfest | June 12th

Attention: cheese connoisseurs and wine lovers! This summer at Kennet Square, the Kennet Summerfest will provide great quality regional and local wines with the finest of artisanal cheeses from Talula’s Table. Additionally, live music and a pop-up art gallery by local artists will be present at the event.

Rose Tree Summer Festival | June 15th – August 14th

In Media Pennsylvania this summer, free concerts will take place at the outdoor scenic amphitheater at the beautiful Rose Tree Park. Take in the picturesque views while enjoying the diverse genres of music from regional and local artists. Light concessions will be available for purchase. Parking and admissions are free for the event.

Light Nights: Caribbean Nights | June 24th & August 12th & September 2th & October 9th

Get transported to the islands at Longwoods Gardens light nights, which offer live music, fountain performances, and a variety of concessions and activities for family and friends. Caribbean nights will feature: Caribbean steel pan music, tropical birds talk, and the new Caribbean illuminated lively fountain performance, along with live music in the beer garden.

Blobfest | July 8th – July 10th

The Annual Phoenixville Blobfest celebrates the classic 1958 movie The Blob because of the movie’s famous scene filmed at the Colonial Theatre. Contests, live music, dancing, the live stage show, a parade, and the street fair are just some of the activities on the schedule for Blobfest.
